… “you always come back to”.
That’s how I’ve always felt about Raleigh and just another reason I will always call this place home. Apparently, it’s a great place to come to (or never leave) if you’re young, too.
According to research done by Triangle Business Journal’s parent company – noted in the following TBJ article: Study: Raleigh labor market best in nation for young people – Raleigh is one of the best place to start and maintain a good life.
My favorite part of the article, are the following comments from locals (originally from here or not, they’re still the locals):
“It seems a lot of the people in the School of Design have come back,” Al-Awar says. “We make fun that Raleigh is one of those places you can’t leave, you always come back to.”
The Triangle’s diversity of industries attracts a variety of people to the area. “If one specific area is in a recession, we’ve got 10 other industries that are blossoming,” Wolitski says.
He adds that the Triangle’s abundance of new and flourishing companies, as well as an attractive nightlife, are luring more young people to the area.
